This is a cookie cut from a large black walnut tree. This branch piece was rotted out in the center along with the tree and had to be cut down. Now it lives on as art decor for us all to enjoy. This is a great part of what I do. Trees have a great life span, some live thousands of years but like everything it comes to an end. By recreating pieces into furniture and art we give that tree another life and purpose and hopefully it gets to be admired and enjoyed by many others for many years.
